Physiotherapy
You can book appointments directly with a physiotherapist by contacting reception. This service is for recent onset musculoskeletal issues and the physio sees patients over a couple of sessions, and will refer you to the community physiotherapy team if longer term physiotherapy is needed.
If you have a longstanding problem that might require a longer course of physiotherapy, please make an appointment for review with a GP or nurse, so we can arrange referral to the community physiotherapy team if needed.

Contraception
https://www.contraceptionchoices.org/ is an excellent website with loads of information on contraceptive options.
Contraceptive Implants and Coils (progesterone or copper) can be inserted and removed at the surgery, please contact reception to request this as you may need a consultation before the procedure.
Contraceptive options can be discussed with any Doctor or Nurse. The oral contraceptive pills and depo injections can be given during a routine surgery appointment.
Highland Sexual Health Service also offers appointments for all types of contraception, as well as sexually transmitted infection screening. You can book appointments directly with them, see website for information on this. https://highlandsexualhealth.co.uk/
Pharmacy
We have a pharmacy team who work alongside our surgery. The pharmacy team help with medication management in lots of ways, including medication reviews, medication changes following a hospital admission, and follow up for chronic conditions such as high blood pressure. They call patients and sometimes see patients face to face for the chronic condition management.
Minor Surgery
We are able to offer corticosteroid injections for specific problems. Our physiotherapist is also able to offer some joint injections.
Please request an appointment with a GP who performs these if you would like to consider one.
Sexual Health
Sexual health can be discussed in routine appointments or help can be accessed via http://www.highlandsexualhealth.co.uk/
This website provides excellent information specific to NHS Highland, and you can order self sampling kits, condoms and take part in online chats with the clinic too. The clinic provide screening for infections, contact tracing and contraceptive advice through a self referral system. They offer appointments in Inverness and Fort William.
Diabetic Clinic
Dr McGlynn and Ms Heather Clark provide our diabetic appointments.
Patients will be seen for review regularly and in addition appointments can be made on request.
Asthma Clinic
An asthma clinic is run by practice nurse Donna MacPhee, where she carries out annual reviews of treatment.
Cervical Cytology/Smear Tests
When you receive a reminder for your smear test, please make a routine appointment with a nurse for this.
